Artist's Comments

Uff!
DC comic's Swamp Thing
Nankin.

This is a piece I really dedicated myself. At the same time I wanted to get a big improvement in my ink skills, I wanted to enjoy drawing my favourite comic book character. It is exactly how I expected! :)
The woman lying (sweetly) on the grass is Abigail, but I forgot her black hair fuses! :P
That's it!

Thank you all!
See ya!

Swamp Thing by ~anatomista is a tribute to one of the artist's favorite DC characters, and a truly masterful work of art that is best appreciated in full view. (Featured by `twosilverstars)

This is absolutely awesome. It's detail combined with the white innocence of her body is a stunning contrast. Well done.

If you light a man a fire, you will keep him warm for a while. If you SET a man afire, you will keep him warm for the rest of his life.

oh man. i used to think the swamp thing was da shit!!
remember when berni wrightson was the artist?
seems like jim aparo might have drawn him too.
sweet work man! this looks a little like wrightson's style actually.
his pen work. did you ever see the illustrations he did for frankenstein?
anyway,...
love how you've the girl almost void of linework. leaving her looking more
soft, delicate, innocent,...in contrast with all the chaotic linework going on
around her. excellant dynamics.
great job!!
